How Do You Tell Your Kids That You Were Married To Someone Else Before?

I’m a planner. I plan the meals for the week on Sunday. I make packing lists days in advance of trips and even break them down by when I will pack the items (night before, morning of etc.). I have already ordered and received my 2016 engagement calendar, and it’s only August…of 2015.

For better or worse, the planner in me is already stressing about how I am going to tell my two young kids that I was married to someone else before they were born, and so was their dad. I’m telling that story today on one of my favorite new sites, The Mid.
